Bollywood comes to Dili....and what else is new?

This evening I realized I had not blogged for a while (a month?) so where do I begin? Well it's been a crazy busy few weeks, with lots of new adventures....starting right home in Dili :-)

A few weeks ago, some friends celebrated their birthdays by hosting a Bollywood party at one of the local Indian restaurants - and I took the opportunity to show off one of the very elaborate outfits I bought in Mumbai a few years ago - fun times!



Shortly after I went on a mini-vacation to a city called Jogjakarta in Indonesia (and before you ask - yes it is a different place from Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and yes it is a real city!) - more blogs on 'Jogja' shortly but here's a quick pic of my 'lazy-on-vacation' look, bandana and all! ;-)



When I arrived back in Dili, I learned that one of my friends was just about to leave for Australia before heading to New York City for a new job (!) - but before we could let her go, we enjoyed a lovely farewell party after work one evening, with an amazing Dili sunset - my camera battery was almost dead but I mananged to squeak in these two shots just before it crashed.....
