Adventures in Jogja - Prambanan Temple

Prambanan is a ninth century Hinda temple compound near Jogja dedicated to the expression of God as the Creator, the Sustainer, and the Destroyer. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and is one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia. It is characterised by its tall and pointed architecture and by the towering 47m high central building inside a large complex of individual temples.

Although this temple was as impressive as Borobodur from an architectural point of view, I did not have a very good tour guide - he rambled on about things that had nothing to do with the temple - and as it was an extremely hot day, I did not stay as long as planned...but an interesting experience indeed!
