Christmas Service #2 - Singapore Victory International Church

As I mentioned in an earlier blog, I had the opportunity to attend four Christmas services during December; here is a photo of 2 little angels from the service I attended in Singapore:



These little girls were part of a fantastic celebration that involved music from around the world, a children's play about finding the spirit of Christmas and a wonderful multicultural feast :-)

I then spent a few days in Singapore relaxing after a very busy few months in Timor; I definitely needed a little break before embarking on my 'round-the-world' trip; more on that in future postings....

Singapore was sunny and hot but thankfully not as humid as Timor. I finished my Christmas shopping and spent some time wandering around the Botanical Gardens near my hotel....



Several of the Embassies and volunteer groups and schools in Singapore had decorated Christmas trees which were on display at the Botanical Gardens...I still found it odd to see Christmas trees WITHOUT any snow in the background...



While I was shopping, I came across this Nativity scene on the sidewalk close to one of the shopping centers - a bit cartoonish but at least it got people's attention :-)
